PsySlop

Know when the week adds up.

An Android journal for what you take. It logs the dose, draws the timeline, and flags when recent use is stacking up. All of it stays on the phone.

what the fork adds

The parts that make it worth switching

PsySlop keeps everything the base journal does and adds a few things it was missing: a second thought before you log, and numbers you can actually read.

Recent-use reality checks

Before you log, PsySlop looks back over the last two months of that substance. It weighs how heavy each session was, how close together they fall, and how many units add up. Several heavy sessions in a week turn the line red. A single heavy night a month ago still shows.

Heavy means the same thing here as it does on the dose dots, so the line tracks the substance rather than a fixed number. Turn it off in Settings if you would rather not see it.

Units that mean something

Grams of ethanol tell you little at a glance. PsySlop shows alcohol in UK units out of the box, one unit to eight grams, and you can set a display unit for any substance. It only changes what you read. The logged number stays exactly as entered, and editing still uses the real unit.

A substance page split into Overview, Timeline and Details tabs, with a history chart

The substance page, retabbed

Each substance splits into Overview, Timeline and Details. Your own history and tolerance sit up front. The dose ranges and duration data from the wiki move to their own tab, out of the way until you go looking for them.

Tolerance you can see

Every substance page plots your dose over time and shades it against the common range, so a climb is obvious. It reads from your own history and follows your display units.

and the rest

A live notification showing overlapping effect-timeline curves for an ongoing experience

Live notification and widget

A running notification through an experience, with the effect timeline for every substance drawn live. The same graph sits on your home screen as a widget.

Year-in-review screen with a monthly activity heatmap and top pairings

Year in review

Your most-logged substance, the longest break you took, a month-by-month heatmap and your top pairings.

App-lock settings with PIN and biometric options and an auto-lock timeout

App lock

PIN or biometric on open, with an auto-lock timeout. The PIN is kept as a salted hash, never in the clear.

Health Connect vitals

Sleep and resting heart rate around each experience, read from Health Connect. Opt-in, and blank until you connect it.

Hydration reminders

Reminders to drink water through a stimulant, empathogen, dissociative, or alcohol session. The first lands near peak, then every hour or two at a random interval so it never fades into background noise. A long-short-short buzz you can feel in a pocket. Mute the channel if it is not for you.

Predictive back

The previous screen follows your thumb as you swipe from the edge. Android 13 and up.

The journal underneath

PsySlop is a fork of PsyLog and PsychonautWiki Journal. The core is intact: per-experience timelines from onset, peak and offset data, dose guidance, and search across hundreds of substances. Swipe through the original.

Each tagged release ships a signed APK, and Obtainium picks up the next one on its own.

Where your data goes

Nowhere. It lives in the app on your phone. There are no accounts and no analytics, and the app only reaches the network when you open a wiki article. Export and import the journal yourself when you want a backup.
